About me

I’m a designer who lives for efficiency and creative empowerment.

For me, design isn't just about how something looks, it’s about how it works and the purpose it serves. I’ve spent my career sharpening a problem-solving mindset and obsessing over the processes that make teams faster and better.

When I’m not at my computer you’ll find me curled up with a good book, (with a collection that is taking over my bookcase) or watching a movie cuddling one of our cats.

I worked with Kali for years on a team where she served as the lead designer. Let me tell you, she truly exemplified the role. She is not only an outstanding designer, but a great coach, collaborator, and resource for the rest of the team.

Where I got my start

My journey began in art school, but I quickly found my heart belonged to graphic design. I became obsessed with the intersection of technology and art—specifically how a single, thoughtful font selection could change an entire conversation. I cut my teeth in the print industry, where I learned the technical precision of the trade. My early days were spent designing everything from flyers to banners and mastering the complexities of multi-color press printing. But I eventually felt the itch to think bigger. That opportunity came with the Tiger Classic in Clemson, SC. I transitioned from the page to the environment, treated the gymnastics event like a massive trade show. I wasn't just designing brochures anymore; I was creating atmospheric experiences, developing everything from large-scale structures to column wraps that transformed the space. As I moved up to manage the printshop, I developed a leadership mindset. I still loved the design work most of all, but I found I really enjoyed mentoring the part-time designers who worked in the shop. It was a great way to share what I’d learned while still keeping my hands in the creative process.

My design philosophy

I’ve always believed that while good design looks beautiful, great design actually serves a purpose. After more than a decade as a multidisciplinary designer, I’ve found that the best results happen when high-end aesthetics meet hard data. I define a successful design as one that improves the user's experience and delivers a clear, measurable impact for the brand. My journey started in graphic design and illustration, but my focus has shifted over the years. Today, I’m focused on creating solutions to design problems that allow a creative vision to grow and scale without losing its impact. How I Approach Every Project: Purpose-Driven Design I prioritize the things that actually enhance the user experience. I’m constantly questioning what is truly necessary for a design to succeed, and I’m not afraid to strip away the rest to find the core message. Scalable Growth I love creating what I call "infinite" solutions. Whether I am building a small UI component, a marketing campaign, or a full brand identity, my goal is to create a system that stays consistent across every single touchpoint. I build foundational systems that allow for seamless growth, ensuring the design can handle the pressure as the brand expands. Meaningful Connection Design is about so much more than just pixels on a screen. It’s about the work that goes into solving a problem and how that affects the person using the final product. I value that sweet spot where aesthetic precision meets a real human connection.

Me, outside the office

When I’m not at my desk, you can usually find me lost in a story. I’m a big fan of a good book and have built up a pretty large collection of fantasy and sci-fi novels over the years. I’m also a fan of the simple things, like relaxing by a fire or adding to my collection of pretty rocks. Life at home is never boring with our four cats. They each have such different personalities, but they are all equally cute in their own ways. On a typical evening, my boyfriend and I are usually catching up on movies. I also love having a good anime or a nostalgic show playing in the background while I’m hanging out on my phone. I’m always up for a good laugh and some friendly competition, so we’ll head out to find local trivia nights whenever we can. Whether I’m out or staying in, I usually have a drink in my hand. I love everything from a simple tea or coffee to a fun tiki drink or a really good beer.
